Small rituals that keep chains bright, lace soft and stones clear.
Every day
- Put your jewellery on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray.
- Take it off before swimming, bathing, exercise or sleep.
- Keep it away from water, sweat and cleaning products.
Storing
- Store each piece on its own, in a soft pouch or a lined box, so chains don’t tangle and stones don’t scratch.
- Close the clasps before storing, and lay chokers and lace flat.
- Keep everything dry, away from damp bathrooms and direct sun.
Cleaning
- Wipe metal parts gently with a soft, dry cloth after wearing.
- Don’t use silver dips, polishing pastes or ultrasonic cleaners: they can strip coloured and antiqued finishes.
- Brush dust off lace and ribbon with a soft brush; don’t soak them.
